IPL is ideal for clients looking for seriously beautiful skin without the down time. This miraculous treatment helps with so many conditions, nearly everyone benefits from it.
Whether your issue is sun damage, broken capillaries, pigmentation, acne, fine lines, wrinkles, redness reduction, skin tone or wanting to brighten a dull complexion, laser is the cutting edge laser treatment you have been searching for!
How does it work?
Our highly trained specialists rest the laser against your skin, pulsing light waves through to different layers depending on your condition. This rapid discharge of light provides the high energy levels required for each laser skin treatment to be effective. Each different skin problem requires a different pulse setting.
Laser for pigmentation
We all love the sunshine, but not the spots of pigmentation it can create! Laser targets areas that contain excess melanin such as age spots, pigmentation and freckling. These pigmented areas absorb the light and convert it to heat. This damages the targeted cells, but leaves the surrounding skin unaffected. The body then begins to naturally break the affected cells down and eliminate them, revealing fresh, rejuvenated skin that is clearer and more even in tone and texture. The increased collagen production also leaves your skin looking plump and refreshed. You will love the difference!
Recommendations for pigmentation
We typically recommend between 4 and 6 treatments. But it is also very important to have your skin assessed by a qualified skin specialist before beginning, as some types of pigmentation such as malasma (grey brown hormonal patches) are made worse through heat. Darker skins can also have negative responses to laser so need an alternative correction. You can speak to one of our skin specialists to find out the best treatment for you.
Acne can make people very self-conscious about their skin. While many skin creams and treatments promise results, they don’t always deliver. The incredible results laser has brought for many of our clients has made the world of difference to them. How? When treating acne, laser technology uses specific wavelengths of light to the target the bacteria in the skin and calm the inflamed sebaceous glands that contribute to breakouts. You will see a much smoother, less red and breakout prone skin at the end of your treatments, letting everyone see the truly beautiful you!
Smooth, refined and clear skin is an ideal that most of us want to achieve. But conditions such as acne, inflamed skin, congestion and open pores can get in the way of our dream skin. IPL for acne uses short pulses of light set at specific wavelengths to target both the bacteria in the skin and the inflamed sebaceous glands that contribute to breakouts. After a short time using IPL you will notice fewer pimples, smaller pores and a clearer more glowing skin. Finally, an acne treatment that works!
Recommendations for acne
We typically recommend one to two treatments per week over a four to five week period.
Redness & Capillaries
Facial redness and broken capillaries can make us look and feel much older than we should. But that was before the magic of laser! How does it work? The laser hand piece pulses light at a frequency readily absorbed by blood vessels, heating them to a point where they are destroyed. After a few treatments, the vessels quickly clear as they are reabsorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the problem area.
Even skin tone is an essential ingredient for true skin confidence. But many people suffer from diffused redness, visible and broken capillaries and rosacea skin types. Thankfully, all of these conditions respond excellently to laser! This treatment targets the haemoglobin molecules found in under the skin’s surface. These molecules absorb the pulses of light and heat up rapidly, resulting in the destruction of the vessels and capillaries that contribute to the appearance of rosacea and other skin redness conditions. Even skin awaits!
Recommendations for redness and broken capillaries
We typically recommend one session every two weeks and four to six treatments.
