You have planned every detail of your wedding, from the dress to the seating plan and everything in between. But have you thought about your skin? With so much attention focused on you on your wedding day, it is important to start your skin preparation early to ensure radiant, glowing skin. After all, it will be the most focal point.
That’s why we created a guide to prepare you through your pre-wedding skin journey, so you can have glowing, flawless skin on your big day.
12 months before your wedding
The date for your big day is set (YAY). The next 12 months will absolutely fly by, so even though it seems like it is so far away, now is the time to get started on your wedding skincare routine.
We recommend booking a consultation with one of our skin experts to get an assessment of the current condition of your skin, understand your skin goals and have a tailored plan that includes an at-home routine. This will also help us to understand if you have skin sensitivities, gut issues, or cystic acne so that we can revise your overall health regimen accordingly.
6 months before your wedding
Let’s begin working on that glow!
Now we have treated your skin condition and it’s time for skin rejuvenation and hydration. This course will target fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, pores pigmentation, and create clear, smooth, radiant skin.
We understand that wedding planning can be stressful, so taking the time to relax and rejuvenate is a win for both you and your skin!
3 months before your wedding
It’s only 3 months until your big day and time for the finishing touches! We have addressed your major skin concerns. Now is the time to focus on treatments that will have your skin looking luminous.
We also suggest scheduling any last-minute beauty appointments, if you haven’t already done so, and getting a trial spray tan. We don’t want you to wake up on your wedding day with an orange face.
The week of your wedding
The big day is almost here! By now your skin should be glowing. To give it that extra touch of radiance, book your final LED session two days before the wedding. It’s safe to do so and will just help give you a boost of hydration and glow!
The night before
Beauty sleep is important! You’re excited and maybe a little nervous, but aim to get a decent night’s sleep, we don’t want you walking down the aisle looking like a zombie.
Avoid alcohol. It is dehydrating and you don’t undo the glow you worked so hard for by drinking too much!
At My Skin & Body, we’ve had the privilege of working with so many beautiful brides in the lead-up to their big day. We want everyone to look and feel amazing in their skin, especially on their wedding day which is why we have created the My Bridal Journey.
The perfect package to help you achieve radiant skin for your wedding day. The path to glowing skin is slightly different for everyone, so your treatments will be tailored to exactly what your skin needs.
